Trip to a wedding

Well, we left home on Sunday morning the 20th, driving north toward our first night stay in Limon, Colorado. We stayed at a motel called 1st Inn. It was not the best place but it was good enough for a comfortable nights sleep til we got back on the road. One thing we had a little trouble with was the time change. What a difference an hour makes lol.

We got back on the road and made our way toward Billings, Montana. We decided to take a scenic route making our way around Denver, Colorado up thru Fort Collins. We went thru Wyoming, the route taking us past the Shirley Mountains and Shirley Basin just because they were "mine". LOL. Looking at the map we noticed that we were going to go past the famous Little Big Horn, place where General Custer lost his life. We stopped and took a few pictures of the museum but we decided not to visit the actual battlefield. They had some pretty nice monuments honoring the participants of the battle.

We stopped for a visit and pictures at the state capitol in Montana (Helena) and of course to pick up a few souveniors. Billings, Mt was where we were going to spend our second night. Of course, where ever we stopped I had to pick up a souvenior shot glass and Roger had to have a hat pin. Also, if we happen to drive past a state capitol we make sure to get pictures. Montana has a nice one.
More later.
